KSA was formed in November 2005 following the purchase of STL Miami by industry veteran Edward King and a group of business partners.
The story behind KSA is very much a tale of "coming full circle".

In 1992, the current KSA facilty was home to Precision Environmental Laboratory.
Many people in the industry still have fond memories of Precision as the lab that established a new standard for value added services and reliable 4 calendar day turnaround times thoughout the 90's.

This success attracted the attention of the much larger international corporation Severn Trent, who acquired Precision in June 1999.
The facility was renamed STL Miami following the purchase.
The addition of STL Miami to the Severn Trent family officially made STL the largest laboratory network in the USA at that time.

In 2005, a change in corporate business direction left STL considering options as to the future of the STL Miami facility
Ed King and his business partners approached Severn Trent with an offer to purchase the facility.
A deal was reached, and in late 2005 the company became KSA Environmental Laboratory Services.

Today the lab employees over 42 Analysts, Project Managers Chemists, Biologists, and Technicians.
